Ricardo Peiro

Biography

Ricardo Peiro (Guadalajara, Mexico, 1988) is a multidisciplinary designer focused on jewellery. He studied Design at the Western Institute of Technology and Higher Education. It was during the last semesters of his bachelor’s degree when he discovered his passion for metal smith. Yet, after graduation he went on to gain experience in different design fields. Such as editorial, graphic, and packaging.

He rediscovered his love for jewellery at a four-month workshop in metal smith, in his hometown. But it was not enough. Eventually, his curiosity took him to the Course of Jewellery Design at POLI.design, Consorzio del Politecnico di Milano, in Italy; where he attained focus, and the necessary understanding of the design process.

What Ricardo enjoys the most about jewellery design is the research, and the production process: the whole trial and error. Ricardo is currently developing a small jewellery line of his own. As well as working on graphic, and jewellery design projects as a freelancer
