This museum is the first in Italy and one of the few worldwide to be dedicated exclusively to jewellery. The Jewellery Museum, a permanent museum space of 410 square metres inside the Palladian Basilica, is a project first developed by Italian Exhibition Group in partnership with the City Council of Vicenza.

The new Museum, offers an original, varied aesthetic and educational jewellery experience, enhancing items with ancient origins, deeply rooted in human culture.

Curated and directed by Alba Cappellieri, Professor of Jewellery Design at the Politecnico di Milano and Italy’s foremost jewellery expert, and a layouts project by the Designer Patricia Urquiola, the museum offers a scientific, learning experience.

Ground Floor
On the ground floor, an entrance, with the bookshop as a cultural reference point and a stock of national and international publications on jewellery.
his is followed by a versatile room dedicated to temporary exhibitions.

First Floor
The top floor of the museum has a brand new layout with nine exhibition rooms, curated by international experts: Symbol, Magic, Function, Beauty, Art, Fashion, Design, Icons, Future.

A bold choice of curators, made with the aim of restoring some of the semantic complexity of jewellery from very different viewpoints
