    Arte orafa vicentina

The history of Vicenza’s goldsmithing is rooted in antiquity, from early Paleo-Venetian artifacts to the refined Lombard and medieval works. Over time, with workshops clustered around the Peronio (today Piazza dei Signori), votive crowns, devotional collars, and precious “oro manin” chains, Vicenza built a goldsmithing tradition deeply tied to its territory yet always open to exchanges with other cities and European schools.

Between the 19th and 20th centuries, with the rise of chain factories and the emergence of the gold industry, the city became one of the reference hubs of Italian jewelry. Today, renowned brands and contemporary designers, between Palladian memory, material experimentation, innovative geometries, and new luxury languages, carry on this history, transforming Vicenza’s craftsmanship into a vibrant laboratory where tradition and research coexist in continuous dialogue.
