GIOIELLO – ITALIA

Material Technique Art
Between Ancient and Modern

2025–2027

The new exhibition of the Museo del Gioiello tells the story of jewellery created and transformed over time across the Italian peninsula: works that, only since 1861, can truly be called “Italian.”
The exhibition unfolds across six rooms and eleven thematic sections, following a chronological path from the 5th century BC to the 21st century. A curated selection of emblematic pieces highlights key moments and the distinctive qualities of a centuries-old, rich, and complex goldsmithing tradition.
The exhibition reveals the identity of Italian jewellery as a vast mosaic: made of workshops, master craftsmen, and territories, but also of exchanges, experimentation, and continuous dialogue with both the past and innovation.
