#VicenzaTour2021: guided tours in the historic center of the city

After the success of the last edition, # VicenzaTour2021 is back, a full program of itineraries and walks to discover the historical, artistic and architectural beauties of the city.

The initiative is carried out by the Department of Culture with the Superintendence Superintendence of archeology, fine arts and landscape for the provinces of Verona, Rovigo and Vicenza, Gallerie d'Italia - Palazzo Leoni Montanari, Palladio Museum, Diocesan Museum, Jewelery Museum, Consortium Vicenzaè, Tourist Guides.

A busy program that starts from Saturday 15 May with "Vicenza and the Towers of the Middle Ages" and runs until Sunday 19 December with the path "Christmas in art between East and West".

Many itineraries are planned to discover the artistic and architectural beauties of Vicenza, including guided visits to Palazzo Chiericati, "The women of the Cathedral" inside the Diocesan Museum, "VI.CETIA: On tour in the mysteries of time" to investigate the events, the cases, the enigmas, the plots, the intrigues and the adventures of the families of the illustrious characters of Vicenza. And again "Vicenza by bike", an easy ride of about ten kilometers along the path of the city walls, "Vicenza and the Serenissima. Palaces, places and symbols of Venetian influence", a visit to Palazzo Leoni Montanari and "Vicenza Underground "which offers two guided tours that connect some of the most significant archaeological sites in the city.

The program continues with a guided tour inside the Museum of the Risorgimento and of the Resistance followed by "Vicenza Green. The historic parks of the city" which will lead the participants through the Querini Park and the Salvi Gardens.

You cannot miss a journey through the architectural beauties of Renaissance Vicenza, organized in collaboration between the municipal administration and the Andrea Palladio International Center for Architectural Studies starting from the Olympic Theater, then moving on to Palazzo Barbarano and which will end in the Palladian Basilica. , a symbolic building of the city and a national monument.

On Sunday 14 and 21 November the municipal administration will open the doors to the reception rooms on the noble floor of Palazzo Trissino, and then continue in the nearby Sala della Giunta comunale. We will move to the Loggia del Capitaniato in the hall of the Municipal Council and then exit in Piazza dei Signori with the tour "Palazzo Trissino and the Loggia del Capitaniato. In the heart of the city government".

#VicenzaTour2021 will end on Sunday 19 December with the tour "Christmas in art between East and West" in some significant museums in Vicenza: Palazzo Chiericati, the Diocesan Museum and the Gallerie d'Italia in Palazzo Leoni Montanari.

Finally, every Saturday at 2.30 pm walks will be proposed to discover symbolic places, Palladian icons and more to experience in the historic center of Vicenza. The service is carried out by authorized tourist guides in agreement with the Vicenzaè Consortium.
