The Museo del Gioiello is relaunching its Precious Weekends program, a series of educational activities aimed at families. The project, which will start on Sunday, December 28, in the prestigious spaces dedicated to it in the Basilica Palladiana, is being carried out in partnership with Scatola Cultura, a Vicenza-based social cooperative dedicated to people and their cultural growth.
Thanks to engaging themed workshops and guided tours of the Museum, adults and children alike can immerse themselves in the sparkling world of jewellery and discover the fascinating art of goldsmithing.
The educational events, which aim to inspire and bring the younger generation closer to the art of goldsmithing, will begin on Sunday, December 28, with ‘The Magic of Wishes', dedicated to the creation of personalized dreamcatchers.
This will be followed by the first event of 2026, “Secret Treasure Chest,” on Sunday, January 25, a hands-on activity that will stimulate ingenuity, respect for the environment, and the joy of “handmade” crafts
On Sunday, February 22, 2026, participants will have the opportunity to take part in “Jewellery of Yesterday, Creations of Today” and become real goldsmiths for a day. They will explore the collections dedicated to Vicenza's art and create a piece of jewellery that combines tradition and imagination.
Sunday, March 29, 2026, will be a special adventure for little explorers. “Green Thumb and Gold” will allow them to create a small pot that will become a precious home for flowers to bloom.
On Sunday, April 26, “Between fabrics and diamonds, like ladies and knights” will take a leap into the past, and participants will become ladies and little knights. They will be inspired by special fabrics and accessories to create a design that will be embellished with colorful and sparkling fabrics.
Finally, the workshop “The magical world of pearls” will give adults and children the opportunity to learn about pearls and their history. A unique object will be created to take home as a souvenir of the experience.
To register for the workshops, reservations are required by calling +39 0444 320799 or emailing
Children aged 5 to 12 can enter the museum free of charge, while the fee for participating in the workshops is €4.50. The cost of admission for adults is €10.00 (€5.00 for residents of Vicenza and its province) for the ticket plus €4.50 for the workshop.
