Illustri Festival events at the Jewellery Museum

From 18 June to 17 July 2022 Illustri Festival brings great Italian and international illustration to Vicenza.

The fifth edition of Illustri Festival will bring the great Italian and international illustration and its young promises to various places in the city of Vicenza from June 18 to July 17, 2022.

The city council has in fact approved the resolution which envisages Illustri Festivals in the hall and in the Zavattieri room of the Palladian Basilica and on the first floor of Palazzo Thiene, together with Gallerie d’Italia - Vicenza and the Jewellery Museum.

There will be four main exhibitions: Illustri, Saranno Illustri and Maestri Illustri in the rooms of the Palladian Basilica and the personal exhibition of the illustrious Christoph Niemann at the Gallerie d’Italia - Vicenza. To complete the program of the Festival, there will be thematic weekends dedicated to digital illustration and illustrated books, workshops designed for an audience of all ages, meetings with artists and market exhibitions, in a rich and colorful schedule that will involve the whole city.

"This year, the new edition of Illustri will have more locations," said the councilor for culture Simona Siotto. "In addition to the two places that have traditionally hosted this festival, the Palladian Basilica and the Gallerie d’Italia, we wanted to offer for the first time the headquarters of Palazzo Thiene for a temporary exhibition that will be hosted on the ground floor. In addition, the Jewellery Museum also wanted to be part of this initiative by opening its spaces to the colorful and creative world of illustration ".

The Jewellery Museum will therefore host training sessions and events with leading professionals from various fields of illustration.
The first appointment is set for Sunday June 19, 2022 from 9.30 am with “Il Digital con Procreate” and will have as guests Ale Giordini, Luca Font and Isabella Agosti.

The second appointment will be held on Sunday July 3, 2022 from 9.30am with “That's Motion, Baby” workshop with Mencaroni+Staiano / Novenero, Yuh Kuo Tai / Alkanoids e Salvatore Giunta / Ditroit..

The Illustri Festival 2022 ticket can be purchased from the website www.illustrifestival.org starting from May 30 or directly at the ticket office of the Basilica Palladiana during the Festival.
