Vicenza Silent Play

A tour of the shops, monuments and voices of the city

Silent Play is a project by La Piccionaia that which offers an original and innovative path of dramaturgy of places and site-specific interactive performances. Its primary purpose is to use art and culture as a tool for qualifying and redeveloping the territory.

Silent Play is a new way of looking at places and territories with their history and environmental and social characteristics. But also to relationships, communities, their tangible and intangible heritage, to social phenomena. Social, community, urban, and ecological issues become the object of a shared experience.

Silent Play will take place this year on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023 with a meeting point at the Museo del Gioiello.

The program will include initial greetings at 6 pm with Arduino Zappaterra, President of CNA Veneto Ovest Artistic Handicrafts and CNA National Goldsmiths and Michela Amenduni, Director of The Jewellery Museum and Head of Marketing Jewellery and Fashion Division of Italian Exhibition Group.

At 6.15 pm there will be the presentation of the project "Crafts and Design - The Culture of Manufacturing and the Artistic Heritage of the Area" and of the Silent Play path "Vicenza - City of Gold and Crafts" with Elena Agosti, coordinator of the Crafts and Design project and Paola Rossi of the La Piccionaia Theater Production Center.

Finally, at 6.30 pm the Silent Play will start, the journey with radio guides conducted by the actress Paola Rossi which will start from Piazzetta Palladio up to contrà Santa Lucia ending with an aperitif at the Busato Art Print shop.
