DOORS OPEN AT MUSEO DEL GIOIELLO FOR GLOBAL EXHIBITIONS DAY

This special opening of the Museo del Gioiello is part of initiatives devised by IEG, a leading Trade Show organizer in Italy and one of the most important in Europe, to promote the international day specifically dedicated to exhibitions, established in 2016 following a proposal by UFI-The Global Association for the Exhibition Industry to celebrate the trade show sector and spotlight the positive impact it has on the economy, employment, innovation and local investments.

For this important event, AEFI (the Italian Exhibition and Trade Show Association) and ICE (Italian Trade Agency) have scheduled an event in Rome entitled “Italian excellence reaches out to the world”, which will see the participation of leading players in the Italian trade show sector, including the President of Italian Exhibition Group, Lorenzo Cagnoni and Executive Vice President, Matteo Marzotto.

At the same time, IEG will also be celebrating Global Exhibitions Day in Vicenza with the open doors project at the Museo del Gioiello, a worldwide launch-pad for promoting the cultural universe of gold and jewellery, a sector in which Italian Exhibition Group plays a leading role in the world thanks to its VICENZAORO show.

On the upper floor of the Museum, the public will be able to enjoy the second edition of the two-year Exhibition where 400 jewellery items of rare beauty are displayed in 9 themed rooms, each under the curatorship of an international expert, reflecting the principal meanings behind jewellery: Symbol, Magic, Function, Beauty, Art, Fashion, Design, Icon and Future. The ground floor, however, is currently hosting the temporary "Dames and Knights” exhibition (on display until 17th September 2017), which, with 40 items featured, celebrates and recalls the historic tradition of honorary jewellery.
