For the Jewelry Museum, for the room that was appointed to me, I imagined a journey through the arts, through time and through the way the bijoux has been proposed to everyone. And so, the subjects of these nine showcases are the seven arts plus design and fashion, as they have become part of our life as major arts. Each showcase illustrates, through these bijoux, a moment in which, in my opinion, it was expressing its art and its meaning.
Biography
Immersed since birth in a world frequented by the most creative personalities and by the brightest intellectuals of Milan in the '50s and' 60s, Chichi Meroni - stylist, designer, jewelry collector - is, since 2015, the creative soul of the Arabesque, cult store in the center of Milan, in Largo Augusto, a space that welcomes and tells a new rhetoric of wonder through a refined intertwining of elements of rare beauty. The Arabesque universe is composed of design pieces from the '50s and' 60s, charming vintage dresses, contemporary collections of clothing for men and women inspired by an evergreen elegance, between sparkling vintage bijoux, design books, fashion and art.
