Vicenza’s Jewellery Museum inaugurates the exhibition “jewellery and journey

A temporary exhibition showcasing the creations of Next Jeneration Jewellery Talent Contest 2016 international finalists promoted by Fiera di Vicenza

The exhibition, “Jewellery and Journey”, organised by Fiera di Vicenza and curated by Alba Cappellieri, will be dedicated to the interpretation of travel, understood as inspiration – symbolic or real – as well as a narrative metaphor that may refer to an interior journey, to geography or even to a production process.

The exhibited artworks, which can be admired inside the Jewellery Museum from 3rd September 2016 to January 2017, made by jewellery companies associated with the Women Jewellery Association Italy, come from young international designers, under 30 years of age and finalists in the competition Next Jeneration Jewellery Talent Contest 2016, promoted by Fiera di Vicenza together with the School of Design of the Polytechnic University of Milan. Each entrant comes from the most prestigious international schools.

The next edition of Next Jeneration Jewellery Talent Contest will have as its theme: “Gioiello e Funzione – Jewellery with Function”. The function of jewellery can be interpreted practically or symbolically. To take part in the competition, designs must be submitted no later than March 2017, according to the methods specified in the announcement.
